Angolan FDI Shelf Company for Sale
Sale of a registered Angolan foreign direct investment (FDI) company, in which I am a shareholder.
The investment of $100,000.00 (under the investment regime of 2003) was made and the company registered in September 2006 and Gazetted as required.
Due to changes in the Angolan business environment that happened during the registration of the company, the business affairs of this new entity were put on hold as it was considered not to be financially viable to pursue its intended core business at that time.
The company as a result of the above, has been dormant ever since and has had no trading activities going through it. Consequently, there are no taxation issues that affect this entity.
It was initially set up with the aim of providing telecommunication services in the market, but it is permitted to trade in a diverse range of other unrelated activities as well.
The majority shareholder of this entity is the founder of a South African and New York listed group of companies, that is active in over 23 countries around the world.
The shareholders have considered other potential opportunities to possibly pursue in Angola, but none of these eventually came to fruition.
We have all the original registration documentation in our possession (will disclose only to serious buyers), and the shareholders have decided to dispose of this entity.
Given the red tape difficulties and lengthy timeframes that all potential investors experience with the registration of any FDI in Angola, this avenue would be beneficial to any investor as it will provide a fast turnaround timeframe into the economy and would not require the current $1,000,000.00 investment either.
The proposed selling price is $150,000.00.
